Unlike traditional desert cacti, this distinctive Rhipsalis species grows in humid forest environments, where it uses its stems to absorb light and moisture. Its delicate, cascading foliage creates an attractive tangle of greenery, while mature plants may produce small, pale flowers followed by decorative berries. With its unusual structure and soft, architectural appearance, Rhipsalis puniceodiscus is an interesting addition to collections of tropical cacti, jungle cacti and unusual trailing houseplants.

Light: Rhipsalis puniceodiscus thrives in bright, indirect light and can tolerate moderate light conditions.
