The Monstera pertusum, also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, is a classic tropical houseplant loved for its large, glossy green leaves that develop beautiful natural holes and splits as they mature. This fast-growing indoor plant is perfect for adding a lush, jungle-inspired feel to homes and offices, whether grown as a climbing plant on a moss pole or allowed to trail naturally. Its iconic foliage and easy-care nature make it one of the most popular houseplants for both beginners and experienced plant collectors.

Light: Monstera pertusum thrives in bright, indirect light, where it will produce larger leaves and develop more pronounced fenestrations. It can tolerate lower light conditions, although growth may be slower. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water: Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring excess water drains away freely. This tropical houseplant prefers lightly moist soil but should never be left sitting in water. Higher humidity will encourage larger leaves and healthy, vigorous growth.

Our 'Enviro-boxes' have been developed in conjunction with WRAP, the Waste and Resources Action Programme, the Enviro-box offers a sustainable and reliable alternative to larger double wall boxes.

Delivery Info

Nationwide Shipping
Online orders are processed and dispatched within seven business days. The standard delivery fee is £5.95 for orders below £65; free shipping for orders above £65. Our plants are shipped Monday to Wednesday. Orders received Thursday to Sunday will be shipped the following Monday to avoid live plant products sitting in warehouses over the weekend. Your order will be sent via DPD or Royal Mail using their next day service.

Click & Collect
All our products are available for Click and Collect from our Chiswick store at 21 Turnham Green Terrace, W4 1RG. We will notify you once your order is ready to collect from our store but we aim to have them ready 1 hour after receiving your order. If you would rather collect your purchase from our Northfields store please contact us before placing your order and we will see if this can be facilitated.
