Ficus Ginseng | 20cm grey ceramic pot

Ficus microcarpa ‘Ginseng’, also known as the Ginseng Ficus, Ficus Bonsai or Indian Laurel Fig, is a distinctive tropical houseplant prized for its thick, exposed roots, chunky trunk and canopy of glossy green leaves. Its naturally sculptural, bonsai-like appearance makes it an eye-catching indoor plant for desks, shelves, windowsills and contemporary interiors. Relatively easy to care for and slow growing, Ficus Ginseng is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a compact statement plant with plenty of character.

Light: Ficus Ginseng thrives in bright, indirect light and can tolerate some gentle morning or evening sunlight. A bright position will encourage dense, healthy foliage and strong growth. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sunlight and very low-light locations.

Water: Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain away freely. Avoid leaving the plant sitting in water or allowing the soil to remain constantly wet. Reduce watering during the cooler winter months when growth naturally slows.
