Details

Aechmea Blue Rain is a gorgeous bromeliad which is as spectacular as it is easy to look after.

Aechmea Blue Rain has broad strap-like glossy green leaves and a breathtaking red, pink, white and purple inflorescence up to 40cm in length. At the top are blue and white flowers that contrast against the red stems.

The flower spikes will last for many months and although the mother plant only blooms once, it will continue to produce young offshoots.

Light: Aechmeas like bright light, near an east or west window would be ideal. They need this exposure to bring out the variegation in their foliage & also to flower. Just be sure to keep it out of direct, hot sun because it’ll burn.

Water: Keep the cup in the central rosette about half full of water at all times; however, don’t keep it completely full, as it may rot, especially during the winter months. Empty the cup every month or two so the water doesn’t become stagnant. Additionally, water the potting soil well every month or two, or whenever the soil is somewhat dry, depending on temperature and humidity in your home. Decrease water during the winter months and keep the soil on the dry side.

Our 'Enviro-boxes' have been developed in conjunction with WRAP, the Waste and Resources Action Programme, the Enviro-box offers a sustainable and reliable alternative to larger double wall boxes.

Nationwide Shipping
Online orders are processed and dispatched within seven business days. The standard delivery fee is £5.95 for orders below £65; free shipping for orders above £65. Our plants are shipped Monday to Wednesday. Orders received Thursday to Sunday will be shipped the following Monday to avoid live plant products sitting in warehouses over the weekend. Your order will be sent via DPD or Royal Mail using their next day service.

Click & Collect
All our products are available for Click and Collect from our Chiswick store at 21 Turnham Green Terrace, W4 1RG. We will notify you once your order is ready to collect from our store but we aim to have them ready 1 hour after receiving your order. If you would rather collect your purchase from our Northfields store please contact us before placing your order and we will see if this can be facilitated.
