Also known as the prickly pear cactus, the Consolea, commonly is an unusual architectural cactus prized for its distinctive flattened pads and upright, branching growth. Native to the Caribbean, this striking succulent can develop a wonderfully sculptural, tree-like appearance as it matures, making it an eye-catching statement plant for sunny windowsills, conservatories, greenhouses, and specialist cactus collections. Its unusual form and easy-care nature make Consolea an excellent choice for collectors looking for something a little different.
Light: Consolea thrives in bright light and enjoys several hours of direct sunlight each day. A sunny south- or west-facing windowsill, greenhouse, or conservatory is ideal. Plenty of light encourages strong, compact growth and helps maintain its distinctive architectural shape.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. As a drought-tolerant cactus, Consolea stores moisture within its fleshy stems and requires only infrequent watering. Water thoroughly during active growth, allowing excess water to drain away freely, and reduce watering significantly during the cooler winter months.

Our 'Enviro-boxes' have been developed in conjunction with WRAP, the Waste and Resources Action Programme, the Enviro-box offers a sustainable and reliable alternative to larger double wall boxes.

Nationwide Shipping
Online orders are processed and dispatched within seven business days. The standard delivery fee is £5.95 for orders below £65; free shipping for orders above £65. Our plants are shipped Monday to Friday. Your order will be sent via Royal Mail or DPD using their next day service.
Click & Collect
All our products are available for Click and Collect from our Chiswick store at 21 Turnham Green Terrace, W4 1RG. We will notify you once your order is ready to collect from our store but we aim to have them ready 1 hour after receiving your order.
*Unfortunately due to the high cost of shipping. We are unable to ship plants to the Islands of Scotland, the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of White, the Scilly Isles and the Channel Islands, however please email us to see if we can find a solution*
