Details

Araucaria heterophylla definitely looks like a pine tree at first glance but, is actually a tropical plant native to Norfolk Island, just off the east coast of Australia - hence its common name. Although it looks like a pine, it's a very different species of evergreen conifer that prefers warm temperatures, making it a great Christmas tree alternative that can stay inside year-round.

Light: Ideally by a south facing window in the winter, to create a warm bright spot. During spring/summer will need to be moved into a more indirect light spot.

Water: Mist me! They are fairly hardy and drought tolerant but needs a good amount of humidity to keep them happy.

Went to Urban Tropicana for the first
time on Friday 04/02/2022 after following their Instagram and Facebook page for a while. Seeing posts of their beautiful plants made me want to visit. I wasn’t disappointed, they have a great array of amazing plants at great prices. Staff were super welcoming and friendly straight away. Giving advice and tips on what would work best in my home with the light it gets, and also on how to care for the plants I purchased from them.I will definitely be going back again for more
plants to fill my home. I highly recommend them. 🌱🌴🌿  🌵
